Digital C-Prints mounted on aluminum

8"H x 20"W each

"Aberrations" of the skin become Rorschach-like patterns.  The markings were extracted from large format photographs of “aberrations” on people's skin such as hair, moles, scars, and scabs.  The markings were then digitally arranged, repeated, and manipulated on each photograph to form unnatural symmetrical patterns.  The work is an exploration of the seduction of pattern.  Symmetry and repetition become camouflage for the scars and scabs that lie within the image.
